To Our Customers and Partners,


The following is an update regarding COVID-19 restrictions beginning to be implemented across the country and the potential business impacts resulting from these restrictions. Many states have issued some form of shelter in place restrictions. Ohio, Cranel’s corporate headquarters, will join this list effective 12:00a.m. EST on March 24th, 2020.


Fortunately, Cranel meets Ohio’s “Essential Businesses and Operations” definition in the Governor’s order, thus we are authorized to continue to be open for business. Per my previous communication, most of Cranel’s staff are now working remotely. We’ve also secured our warehouse facilities and are complying with State mandated precautions to protect the health of our required on-site staff resources. 


Regarding the supply chain from our hardware and software vendor partners to Cranel, and ultimately to your organization and your end-users, we have not yet seen any significant changes. We are, however, seeing additional requirements from vendors for information on orders such as additional contact information (e.g. multiple contact names, secondary mobile phone numbers). At least one vendor is beginning to restrict inventory based on Essential Business definitions. 


Given some of the dynamics we’re seeing in the supply chain, I ask that you be responsive to Cranel’s sales team if they ask for more information than they typically do when completing an order. For hard goods, we will likely be asking for confirmation that someone will be physically present to accept a shipment. 


It’s our intention to do everything we can to help you, our partners, conduct critical business as we work through the coming weeks together. Whether it’s shipping a scanner, providing support, renewing a service contract, providing a software quote, delivering license keys or providing professional installation services, we are here to serve you.
